About
Hi there! I'm Kat Reeder, a regenerative flower farmer growing in the Hudson Valley of New York.
My background as a textile designer and artist shapes my approach to flower farming. Each bed is thoughtfully planned not just for optimal growing conditions, but for how colors and textures will play together throughout the season. I see regenerative farming as a form of creative expression, where working in harmony with nature produces the most beautiful results.
I cultivate a wide range of flowers that range from beloved garden classics to rare heirloom varieties. A true passion of mine is dahlias – I’ll be trialing nearly 100 varieties this year, each selected for its unique character and charm. These range from tiny pompons to dinner plate-sized blooms in every color imaginable. More recently, I've fallen in love with heirloom chrysanthemums, discovering their rich history and extraordinary diversity of forms. These varieties have been preserved by generations of gardeners and are rarely seen in contemporary flower markets.
Every flower I cultivate is grown using methods that enhance soil health, support beneficial insects, and contribute to a resilient local ecosystem. It's an approach that proves the most beautiful gardens are those that nurture the earth.
